TFG London has reported strong growth in sales through the Christmas trading period. This, the company said, represents a continuation of the positive momentum of the first 9 months of the year in which TFG London sales increased by 42 percent to 318.8 million pounds, with comparable sales growth of 3.5 percent. Over the month of December, the company added, comparable sales grew 4.7 percent, underpinned by strong post Black Friday trade as well as an excellent response to the launch of sale.

Commenting on the trading update, Ben Barnett, Chief Executive of TFG London, said in a statement: “The positive sales momentum that we have seen throughout the year to date has continued through our Christmas trading period and into the launch of sale. In a challenging market environment, it is the strength of our brand teams in store and at head office that differentiate us from our peer group, and our continued growth is testament to their hard work and dedication.”

“Despite a weak underlying market, I firmly believe that the operational strength of our brands, together with that of our balance sheet, will continue to present us with opportunities for growth,” added Lee Harlow, Managing Director of TFG London.

Headquartered in London, TFG London, wholly owned by The Foschini Group Limited, comprises the womenswear brands of Phase Eight, Hobbs, Whistles, Damsel in a Dress and Studio 8. Trading from a total 930 points of sale across the world the brands are available in 254 concessions & stores in 21 international markets excluding UK & Ireland.
